Ronald McDonald House Charities
Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) is a global charity with local Chapters all over the world. In the Houston/Galveston area this includes Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston, Ronald McDonald House Houston and Ronald McDonald House Galveston. Locally, every time a Happy Meal® or World Famous Fries® are purchased, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the local Chapter to help provide families with the comfort, support and kindness they need while their children receive medical care nearby. RMHCGHG also operates a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® that connects underserved children and families with much-needed medical care.

Kids’ Meals Houston
Since 2018, McDonald’s Houston has been honored to be a supporting partner of Kids’ Meals, a local non-profit that delivers up to 7,000 balanced and nutritious meals to preschool-aged children across the Houston area each week.

HACER National Scholarship Program
In 1988, a local Houston McDonald’s owner/operator was instrumental in founding the McDonald’s HACER National Scholarship Program. Since then, McDonald’s has awarded over $5 million in HACER scholarships to Hispanic students across the country.

Thank You Meals
In 2020, McDonald’s Houston pioneered Thank You Meals for Educators, offering local Houston-area teachers, administrators and other school employees a free breakfast for a week as thanks for all their hard work. We were proud to see this initiative spread to McDonald’s nationwide in 2021.
